Invitation

Beautiful Baekje, Glorious Sabi

The Baekje Cultural Festival, which began in 1955 with the determination and participation of the people of Buyeo, just before the scars of the Korean War had fully healed, has now reached its 70th anniversary. Over the past 70 years, we have honored and continued the spirit of the Baekje people, aiming to preserve our historical and cultural identity while simultaneously creating new cultural values that look towards the future.

The Baekje Cultural Festival offers an opportunity to experience firsthand the brilliant culture of Baekje, which flourished more than 1,400 years ago in Buyeo, the ancient capital.
This year's 70th Baekje Cultural Festival, held under the theme "Beautiful Baekje, Glorious Sabi," will take place at the Baekje Cultural Complex, the main venue.
The complex is the only place in Korea where the royal palace of Baekje has been fully reconstructed. Based on historical relics and ruins from the Baekje era, it provides a realistic experience of Baekje’s culture and history from 1,400 years ago, including the royal palace of Sabi. This year, a variety of programs, including performances, cultural experiences, ancestral and Buddhist rites, and scenic exhibitions, have been prepared.
As a result, it will be a festival that people of all ages can enjoy.

We promise a spectacular event that combines the brilliant heritage of Baekje with modern creative interpretations.
We hope that through the Baekje Cultural Festival, you will fully appreciate the beauty and excellence of Baekje, and feel a sense of pride in our cultural heritage.
Your visit and participation will make the 70th Baekje Cultural Festival even more special.
We invite you to come to Buyeo with your family, friends, or loved ones and create unforgettable memories.
We eagerly await your visit to Buyeo, where the spirit of Baekje is still alive.

Sincerely, Buyeo County Mayor, Park Jeong-hyeon
