제72회 백제문화제

The Baekje Cultural Festival traces its origins to the 1st Baekje Grand Festival, held in Buyeo in 1955. Now in its 72nd year, the festival is one of Korea’s leading historical and cultural festivals, celebrating the splendor of Baekje civilization and its enduring heritage while bringing its rich cultural legacy into the present day.

The 72nd Baekje Cultural Festival will take place throughout Buyeo from October 3 (Sat) to October 11 (Sun), under the theme “Beautiful Baekje, Glorious Sabi.” Over nine days, the festival will feature more than 40 programs across seven categories, offering visitors a diverse range of cultural experiences.

The festival presents a rich variety of programs inspired by the history and culture of Baekje, including traditional ceremonies and Buddhist rituals, signature performances, nighttime illuminations, interactive experiences, exhibitions, and street programs. Together, these experiences showcase the historical significance and enduring beauty of Baekje culture from a variety of perspectives.

This year, the festival extends throughout the heart of Buyeo, creating a seamless connection between the city’s historic and cultural heritage and its urban spaces. Visitors can explore the festival across the city, discovering its history and culture while seeing, experiencing, and taking part in the many programs on offer.
